I've been getting up in the dark lately. Making tea, lighting our Calm candle, sitting with it for a few minutes before I go down to the studio.
Candlelight does something. There's research suggesting we're wired for it — that for thousands of years, warm flickering light meant safety, community, and rest. Our brains still recognize that signal, and it's why something as simple as looking at a flame can help us relax.
Calm has sun-warmed lavender, sweet cedar, and incense woods. We designed it to settle and still. A few minutes with the light, breathing in the scent. It's not a fix, but I feel more ready.
We just poured a fresh batch.
