Soft Fascinations For A Calm Mind

'Soft fascinations' — even the phrase feels soothing, right? Clinical psychologists use this term for simple activities that let our minds rest while our bodies stay gently active — think washing dishes, gardening or taking a walk.

To thrive, we need two kinds of attention every day—sharp focus for tasks and soft drift for restoration. Soft fascinations also give our brains a chance to process so we don't get into middle-of-the-night thought spirals.

My daily soft fascinations are weighing incense, filling perfume bottles & cooking. What's yours?

Best scented wishes,
Emily
