Success is a Calm Nervous System
I came across this idea somewhere last year, and it's stuck with me. We all have a list of things we'd like to achieve in 2024, a personal concept of success. But if getting there comes at the expense of feeling good, is it worth it?
Our nervous system ranges from regulated to dysregulated. With a regulated nervous system, life feels expansive - you can do challenging, uncomfortable things & quickly return to a state of calm. With a dysregulated nervous system, life feels contracted - you're already on edge, tired & stressed, so your capacity for growth and enjoyment is limited.
Success is personal, but true success is a calm nervous system.
Wishing you calm,
Emily
