We're all in constant conversation with ourselves. If we feel good, this conversation is constructive, helping us think clearly, reflect, problem-solve, and plan. But if we're not, it can spiral into mental chatter, absorbing our energy, overwhelming, and, at worst, debilitating us.

This is where rituals come in. Rituals help modulate our mental chatter by giving us a sense of order and control over our thoughts. Focusing our mind on a known sequence, especially when there's a sensory element, calms and soothes our nervous system, allowing us to create the mental distance and perspective needed to move forward.
