Portals to Discovery
When we first started Bodha I had big ideas about what I wanted to create, but not much patience for the amount of failing I’d have to go through.
This is a tiny collection of the steps behind our (left to right) Vibration Perfume bottle lids, Ritual Incense Brushes and Ritual Incense Holders. It looks kinda cute now but don’t be fooled, each piece involved constant discussions, drawings, pleading with makers to try new tools or techniques, and lots & lots of creating things that just weren’t up to scratch.
If you’re creating anything - dinner, a garden, music, art - you’re going to fail and you’re not alone. But it’s worth it! As James Joyce said ‘mistakes are the portals of discovery’ and what’s more human than that?
