Experience the Mysterious
Everything we smell is the the result of molecules vibrating in an endless variation of patterns. I love the mysterious world of scent science, where atomic arrangements play smell tricks on our mind and transitional states create whole new fragrance ingredients.
Take the chiral molecule for example. With these molecules the exact same atoms, arranged in the exact same way, smell totally different when flipped in mirror image. The molecule carvone is a great illustration of this - it smells like spearmint, but flip it 180 degrees and it smells like caraway seeds!
The vast mysteries of scent remind us of the shimmering, vibrating, constantly changing nature of life.
