CozyMaxxing With Clean Candles

Living in L.A., we're super tuned into air quality, so when we started developing our candle formulas, I was determined to create the cleanest burn possible.

A non-polluting candle comes down to two crucial elements: quality fragrance formulation and premium wax.

Ask any perfumer, and they'll tell you that creating a candle scent is surprisingly technical! Ensuring smooth combustion requires complex calculations balancing ingredient-level flash points. Getting it right is a lot of math; getting it wrong is a candle that smokes, soots, and sputters.

Wax selection is equally important since it makes up about 90% of a candle. We use a premium 100% natural wax and completely avoid paraffin. This choice really matters because paraffin releases volatile organic compounds and, unlike our natural wax, isn't biodegradable.

To maximize your clean-burning experience, keep your wick trimmed to ¼ inch and snuff rather than blow out your candle (our brass Candle Lid makes a great snuffer).

Happy cozymaxxing (a micro-trend I can finally get behind)
